The stunning civic theatre of Durham City, at the end of Claypath, this year provides our largest venue with a maximum capacity of 500 seats. A proscenium theatre, with 10 x 10m of stage floor, great wings, 5-6m of clearance depending on rig, and full audio visual resources including projection. It’s a fringe venue for the period of the festival, with limited storage, quick turn round etc. so you will probably have to resist some of the more substantive charms, like the flying rig or the large dock door.
