Durham Fringe Festival returns

Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 27 July 2025

Durham Fringe Festival

Durham Fringe 2025 will bring to life 9 venues across Durham City Centre

Perform at Durham Fringe Festival 2025

Durham Fringe Festival is an annual celebration of the performing arts, taking place in Durham City in the last week of July.

The historic, atmospheric setting of Durham City is the backdrop to your fringe experience, and we present an eclectic mix of the performing arts from local, national and international artists and performers, across a growing number of stages.

We will be celebrating our fifth birthday in 2025, and cannot wait to welcome artists and audiences to the city once more.

It might be a little cold and damp outside, but we're all dreaming of a warm July evening during the Festival! It's been a special year for the festival. We were lucky to have more performers, venues, shows and volunteers than each of the years before - but more importantly, more of you turned out than ever before to support the arts and enjoy yourselves. We can't wait to see what 2025 will bring!
