A gem in the Café Culture of Durham's culture. By day it's a lovely and highly rated café located upstairs from the junction of Owengate and Saddler Street, in the heart of the city centre. By night, for special occasions and for the whole of our festival, it’s a cosy, bohemian, venue suitable for compact drama, music, standup and similar. It has an alcohol licence and serves great coffees and treats.

Entrance and cafe counter. (Photos during performance to come!)

Performance end of the room. (Photos during performance to come!)

Bar (within performance space) YES

Note: It’s immediately on your right hand side as you turn up towards Palace Green and the Castle and Cathedral. In daytime there are tables and chairs outside. It’s accessed via tight stairs so unfortunately limited from a wheel chair perspective.
