Sponsors and Partners – Marketing Toolkit

For our 2024 Partners and Sponsors, we are delighted to welcome you on board for Durham Fringe Festival 2024 and want to express our gratitude for your support as well as our excitement in working together to ensure that the festival is a success both for performers and the people and businesses of Durham.

Background and why your support matters

The festival is now in its fourth year and was started by a group of friends who had a vision for a grass-roots festival led by local people working alongside local businesses such as yours to attract artists and audiences to our beautiful city.  We believe we are unique in not charging participants to put on their shows and allowing them to keep 70% of the net ticket sales.  This means their financial risk is kept to a minimum which makes support such as yours even more important to us and is also a great incentive for us to do our utmost to sell as many tickets as possible.

With 250 performances across eight venues from 90 different artists and performers, our range is bigger than ever before.

Stronger together

We commit to work with you to profile your organisation in our own promotional materials.  However, we also want to provide you with a toolkit that you can use to spread the festival buzz and help us make 2024 our most successful festival ever!  Below we outline some of the ways we can work together to maximise our promotional impact.

Press and Media Relations

If you are planning any press and media relations in relation to your support for the festival, please get in touch with our press and marketing manager Gillian Swan on [email protected] who will be happy to provide assistance (quotes, photographs, etc) and ensure that we are coordinating our efforts to best effect.

Volunteer

Social Media

We would love you to share the news that you are supporting the Durham Fringe Festival with your social media followers!  To that end, we have created a social media toolkit of suitable assets which you can download and use, all with the slogan “Proud to Support Durham Fringe Festival 2024”.  We would love if you would announce and celebrate your partnership with/sponsorship of us by using these images on your own social media.

Very important – our images have kindly been provided by Andrew Grant and Kate Lgotina and remain copyright. Therefore, every time you use an image from the file below, it is essential to credit them as follows: Photograph: Andrew Grant @aadgrant & Kate Lgotina @katelgphoto
Thank you.

Of course, you can also create your own assets using our 2024 logos (linked further down this page).  Read on to find out how you can use these to help amplify the profile of the Fringe, and to help us all attract more people into the city.

Using Durham Fringe Festival assets

When to use our logos. Pop the logo on your posters if you have them, and add it to designed images you have on your social media. Make sure it’s on any flyers you may bring to the festival.

How to use our logos. Click the link below to download a zip file containing our 2024 logos. Make sure the background behind doesn’t conflict with the text in the logo. There are various versions of our logos. In general, versions intended for dark backgrounds have white text that can only be seen when in place. For areas of image with light backgrounds the converse logo is required. Don’t crop, change the colour of or stretch the logo, or add any extra text to the logo. Use the 2024 logos available on this page, rather than older logos from previous years.
