On the remote island of Kalsoy, there is little to do besides work the land and stare out to sea. A lonely farmer seeks to discover if the stories of selkies – half-women, half-seals – are true. When he finds that they are, he spots a chance to change his fortune & take a wife.

But his strange new bride does not welcome his advances, nor his theft of her skin.

Exploring gender, power & revenge, this one-man retelling of Faroese folklore spotlights the absence of women in their own stories, & the lengths men will go to control them.
