The Rookery is a North - East based folk trio consisting of Eleanor Kerr, Poppy Bedford and Emma Doenges. With all three singing and playing a plethora of instruments, including fiddle, guitar, banjo, and bodhran, they perform songs both traditional and self-penned with an aim to tell stories and conjure images of the past. And birds. Birds are a must-have.
In this 50-minute performance, The Rookery will aim to take you through the story of The Fairy Music of Hen Hole - a Northumberland folk tale of fairies, music, and the sinister nature of the supernatural world.
