Notes for those with access needs

Access to Dunelm House can be a challenge for both performers and audience as the building is set over 5 floors with no lift. There are 5 sets of stairs in a straight line that each have a mounted chair lift. But the chair lift takes 20 minutes to go from the top to the bottom of the building and emits a loud beeping sound when in motion so can’t be used during performances. Please note that for Health and Safety reasons, our staff will be unable to assist you in transferring from chair to chair lift.

The Fonteyn Ballroom is at the lowest level of Dunelm House and can also be accessed by a ramp from outside, via an alternative entrance. However, please notify us in advance via [email protected] if you would like to use this route or have any access needs in general.

The are no toilets on the Fonteyn Ballroom level.
